Riot Police keeps anti eviction activists away from the building of PP deputy Beatriz Rodriguez Salmones during an escrache on April12, 2013 in Madrid, Spain. The Mortgage Holders Platform (PAH) and other anti evictions organizations have been organizing 'escraches' for several weeks under the slogan 'There are lives at risk' to claim the vote for a Popular Legislative Initiative (ILP) to stop evictions and facilitate social rent, outside Popular Party deputies' houses and offices. 'Escraches' are a form of peaceful protest that were used in Argentine in 1995 to publically denounce pardoned members of the dictatorship for their crimes at their doorsteps.
