SAN LORENZO DEL ESCORIAL, SPAIN - AUGUST 31: Franco's supporters attend a vigil to protest the planned move of Franco's remains at El Valle de los Caidos (Valley of the Fallen) on August 31, 2018 near San Lorenzo del Escorial, in Madrid province, Spain. 'Movement for Spain' (Movimiento por Espana) called for a vigil to place candles at the Valley of Fallen against the new Spanish socialist government plans to remove the Franco's remains from the valley. Spanish Dictator General Francisco Franco ordered the construction of the monument, which contains his own tomb and also that of Falange Espanola founder Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera. It was constructed by builders and prisoners between 1940 and 1958, and it also contains the graves of thousands of victims of war. (Photo by Pablo Blazquez Dominguez)
