Jose Matilla 14, who killed his first deer, holds his catch antlers while people throws blood, flour, eggs and visceras at him to celebrate becoming a 'novio' after a hunting session, in Carbajo on January 19 2013, in Caceres Province, Extremadura, Spain. 'Novio' is the name locals call to a person that hunts a wild animal for the first time..Caceres has a well preserved natural environment. Plenty of its surface is dedicated to deers and wild boars hunting, making this, an important part of its economy. But most of the land belongs to large landowners. .In Carbajo, people gather three times a year to hunt deers and wild boars. In the past, they used to hunt for eating, but now days, they practice it as an sport and a social event. Then, they sell what the catch as wild game meat.
